Thornbury and Yate MP Luke Hall met Mark Shelford, the Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner candidate for the May 2020 election for Avon and Somerset, to discuss the issues facing residents. Mark Shelford is an ex-solder of 32 years experience working alongside Police forces all over the world and is well placed to be the next Commissioner for Avon and Somerset.

I have spoken to a number of residents in the constituency of Thornbury and Yate and understand the frustration they feel about Antisocial behaviour, dangerous driving, rural crime and the difficulty in contacting the Police out of hours to report crime. I will make these issues my priority in your contingency as the next Police and Crime Commissioner."
